I've had this game for about a year and I think it's great. It does have loli in it and it is difficult to reach some scenes, but it has excellent graphics and game play. The sex scenes are great. I think it has great re-play ability

No it's not an anime movie. It has user controlled 3D animation, which is great and very inter-active.

but just curious, what the 1100 and 1300 options were.
were they just HD space estimates? i just installed in with the 1300 option.

haha, btw, i remember taking a few japanese classes in college. i remember being it mostly korean kids, japense kids for easy grades, and a few white guys. funny how like 4 of the white guys were probably otakus, as they always asked our female prof about otaku stuff, and wore "Anime Mania" or sailor moon tshirts to class haha

Erm, sorry if i asked a noob question. When i click on the Install.exe file in the CD - 01, it said it required CD 1 to be install but i can't find the .Iso or .Cue file inside the download file.

I am useing daemon tools to mount but i can't find any iso or cue file if any1 is kind enough please show me a screenshot where the file is located

If you can't find any .iso or .cue file, then what is it that you are mounting with Daemon Tools?

This torrent will give you a folder called "[HentaiShare].Yuki.Hotaru" — and that folder will contain:

Notice that there is NO "Install.exe" anywhere in that list? Yet you said before…



So exactly where did you find that Install.exe?

And I'll give you a hint: You didn't find it inside [HentaiShare].Yuki.Hotaru.CD1.rar — at least not directly inside it…

I find the Install.exe inside the folder Yuki.Hotaru.CD1

Yuki.Hotaru.CD1.rar > Yuki.Hotaru.CD1 > Install.exe

For some reason I'm having trouble installing this. I've followed the check list, used applocale and set regional settings, all of that. When it's on the splash screen loading after I run the install, it crashes before anything else. If anyone can help thanks.

I'm sorry if I sound stupid or something, but does the game come with an uninstall.exe or something? I've looked around a bit and haven't discovered anything as of yet. Is it hidden or something?

And of course, the game doesn't show up on my Add or Remove Programs List so i'm kinda stuck with it now...

Run the setup again, usually there is an uninstall option in there. That's how I uninstall crap anyway.

I've followed all the instructions in the checklist, but no matter what I do, Install.exe always hangs on the splash screen. All I get is the splash screen using up 50% of my CPU, and nothing more. Does anybody have any idea what I can do about this?

I followed instructions in .nfo. During instalation at 51%(1300) or 60%(1100) game showed dialog with something (maybe asking for CD2) so I mounted CD2 to the same virtual drive (closed white screen) and hit ok, but installator ended. I tried to continue by mounting cd1 again, it showed the same dialog at begining, so i tried to mount cd2 again but again it ends... I tried few more combinations, but nothing helped. Do someone know where is a problem? Or it is just between monitor and chair?

Hi, i got the same problem, when i try to install the game it hangs on the splash screen and nothing happens, all i see is my cpu at 80& and the HD working but no mather how logn i wait it doesn't change from the splash screen, I'm using XP SP2, is that an issue??

Hmm, still problems then try this.

-If you are using daemon, try using alcohol 120 and burn it to a dvd directly then install, sometimes problems do occur with daemon.

i did see the check list and nothing, i forgot that used both daemon and alcohol, i also burned it into two separate cd's and still nothing, someone plz help me onegai desu

First aff all thanks for a great site. As i see it rocks.

Now the problem, it is the first game i downloaded from HentaiShare and now when i'm trying to instal it i get message that it only works on japanese edition windows. I read instructions but it didnt helped. So i cant instal it. I'm using win XP and i'm from Europe so win is not japanese edition. Any solutions?

a few pointers from myself.. My first time installing, I followed everything to a tee.. Only thing was that on the nfo included with the package it said Japanese was the last option in the drop down of applocale. Turns out its second to last.. took me checking out the very nice tutorial post with pictures for me to realize it. Also I though I was going to have the same problems that you guys had with the lockup at start. Well I left it alone for about 3 - 5 mins (My hard drive and resources were going crazy) then it loaded right up. May feel like its locked up, but it starts if you follow the directions.

BTW first post..mind if I pull up a couch? I like it here.

why not try switching to japanese mode or changing the compatibility of the exe file to windows 2000 or win98?

How to:

1: Do a full install of yuki hotaru
2: Unpack and run Moz.exe
3: Drag and drop the "odf" folder in Moz window (its located inside your yuki hotaru main folder.)
4: A "select folder" window will show up, locate your "YuKiHoTa" folder and click ok.
5: A few dialogs will popup, just click OK and you are done.

Um, i downloaded the Torrent, and then i used the Applocle file, and when i use the Daemon Tools to run the first Disc it says "(this Software operates with only the Japanese edition windows)" What am i doing wrong? is there anything i can do to get this to work?

did you read the NFO file?

I clicked it and now i dont know what to do with it. Alot of things poped up, categories and sub categories.

"System Information cannot open this NFO file. It might be corrupted or an unrecognized version."

Regarding the uncensor patch provided above; those steps made it work for me.

1. Running under Japanese-unicode settings thing; using applocale might or might not work.
2. Download the file provided by Notreve.
3. Extract the exe and the Yukihota.txt to some folder.
4. Run the .exe
5. Drag the yukihota.txt onto the .exe window and drop it there
6. You will be prompted to choose a directory
7. Choose the directory where you installed Yuki Hotaru (e.g. C:\YukiHota) and confirm
8. You will be prompted with several pop-ups, confirm all of them

I do not recognize the first 2 kanji on that link but the rest says "Drag & drop please".

Again, follow directions.

Looks like I got to 雪蛍 yuki hotaru a little to late. I am stuck at 99.9% Been uploading what I have to other people. I was wondering if someone can seed this for a bit. Once I reach 100% I plan on seeding the torrent to help the other out who are stuck as well. Please and Thanks.

This game looks fucken great. Story sounds a bit like "eroi". Will download it now.

Looks like I won't beable to play Yuki Hotaru anytime soon. I followed the instructions in the nfo file.
1. Mounted it with daemon tools.
2. set Windows 98 / Windows Me on the install.exe program.
3. Ran applocale and selected install.exe and Japanese.
I only get the splash screen. Then I get a user32.dll error.

I have my system Windows XP set to Japanese for non unicode programs already because I use that. I wouldn't think that would cause a problem. I even tried to run the program with out applocale. Still get a user32.dll error. ;.; At least I am able to play some of teatimes other great games. ^^

Maby one day this one might work. As in no user32.dll error.

what kind of error? why not try to download the user32.dll file
