And here's the third and latest of the Biko series. It is still based around stalking as before, with more consideration to the interactivity and gameplay. The targets range from doctors, to gaijin, to waitresses, to students. Depending on how well you stalk, and your approach. You can get either the rape ending, or the love ending with each girl. Still doesn’t follow logic, but that didn't stop the making of three of these.

Hey guys great website! I was wondering if I could get a little help? I installed and played Biko 2 just fine. Biko 3 on the other hand is having some problems. I start the setup (Through you I have aplocale) and have my settings set properly in Regional and Language options. It it starts but then gives me an error message (at least I think it's an error message can't read Japanese >:( ). This is during the Install Shield Wizard part I get a message that starts....1155: a bunch of japanese symbols 3.msi a bunch more symbols.

Any clue?

i had this problem too. but have you read the ".diz" manual with the txt editor? my problem was, that i used the wrong windows installer. i had to execute all and unzip the dvd a second time, follow the manual step by step, and viola...it doesnt`t work!

i can install it and patch, can get to the start window (in english), but i cant start it normally. when i press the start button, an only-ok error window(?) appears and the monitor gets black and jump back to desktop :/ >:(
please help me, i want to play this game really!

M--The japanese option is the very last one on the language list
M--After Installation, Rename game foler to "Biko3" from "<japanese>" it will (if not, you cant patch it in the folder, remove the underline !)
M--make things easier for yourself when applying the following patches.
M--Uncensor and English Menu patch already contain their own instructions
M--Use Applocale on japanese setting like before to run "NewBiko3.exe" in the
M--game folder.

Anybody here who got the game and run it successfully? May I have a damaged file or am I blind? Please help o_O

Actually, I figured out my problems. I was missing a file. Then had to manually copy the data files...(pain in the butt). But all is going well now..

Ok.

The install finished patches and all. Now my problem is...The game seems to start, but then I get a microsoft error message."NewBiko3 has encountered a problem and needs to close". Then it's the stupid report to microsft or not question.

Any ideas?

Everything is up an running...The game looks great! the only problem I'm having is the fact that I can't seem to figure out how to get off the first screen once the game starts. There is a arrow pointing down, but I can't seem to get to it (neither mouse or keyboard seems to work).

Any ideas...

Just to be sure... is your default Non-Unicode language set to Japanese? That, and the codecs, are the most common causes AFAIK...

yes i did use that program and it still did the same thing i burned 2 dvds one that was mds and the other was an iso so i did the mds first and installed half way so i put the other cd in and it finshed installing then i did everything the instructions told me to do i even use the apploacle and still nothing can you tell me what im doing wrong oh and i burned with alchol 120

why are you burning the files?

Sorry, couldn't help it... "Ittekimasu" is Japanese for "I'm leaving now" (that assumes I will be back),similar to "over and out" in military communications. My actual nick is BOFH...

Basically,you should try setting the locale (non-Unicode language) and putting a no-DVD patch. Worked for me.

i am having the same problem.
i did everything that the nfo says. I installed the game used applocale to execute files did patches etc. still when i start the new game exe -newbiko3.exe- (again with applocale ) the INI setting menu comes. But in the menu i cant change any of the display setting when i try to change and save changes it just goes back to default and when i try to start the game a little window with japanese writings pop up and after i push ok a black windows appears then i get a windows error "NewBiko3.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
I dont know what to do more if anyones knows what to do please send me a pm and explain me i ll really be gratefull. thx in advance...

p.s: i tried japanese in regional too still doesnt work. my grapic card is 128 mb INTEL 915 GM. can it be the cause of problem?

Hmmm, I was able to install and run biko 3 without using applocale. The only thing I had to change was, installing east-asian language packages under control panel -> region/language settings -> tab: languages, second box checked
I also have installed the english + uncensorpatch (not easy ).
The game runs perfect. Also I have no "newbiko3.exe" in my folder. The file's called biko3.exe.
The problem with the returning to default settings sounds like "read only"
Have you surely used daemon-tools and installed the game from a virtual drive to your hard drive and kept the iso-image mounted? o_O

As long as you run the .msi file most illusion games can be installed without a language change, or without a hitch for that matter

yep i m using daemon tools v3.47 with safedisk and securom enabled i guess one of the files is corrupted or my grapic card has some issues with the game. anyways i gave up after the 5th try : d i ll download some other game

Just for your information: All biko games have only iso-files and all work without language changing /patches or applocale (at least for me). First game I was forced to do that was oppai slider 2.

I was able to solve grimwolf's error of the game closing when you try to play it however i found a new error. Even after installing the patch there is no text in any of the boxes so its extremely hard to move on. To fix the windows error. Reinstall the game using applocale to C:\Biko3. Make sure to change the installation patch and not change it after installing. Then after its been installed explore the image and manually copy the data folder into C:\Biko3 and overwrite everything. Now apply the patch as instructed and run the game using applocale. The only problem is as i mentioned before that there is no text in the game, even if you try to load you cant see the loadfile name text.

Any Ideas?

Can someone help me I am having trouble running Biko3. I have gone through the process approximately 7 times of reinstalling it to make sure I did it right and I keep getting the same problem.

I run program with applocale and it starts the menu when I click start I get a box with something in japanese and only an ok so I hit it. Then screen goes black then back to desktop then black then the stupid do you want to send this error to microsoft message.

I have also tried doing it with the languages and it doesn't work.

I looked over the forum and saw no answer there anybody know what I am missing?

I apologize if this is a nuisance to anyone I am new to this and am not certain on everything to do. I did use deamon tools though so that probably isn't it either. What I need is a praying or groveling emoticon right now.

I suggest, you read the first postings on page 1, if you haven't. There is a complete instruction AND english + uncensor patches. Apply those and you'll not need msapplocale. My version from biko3 has got 2 CD-iso files. You have to mount CD2 to play. In the starting menu you have to click the lower right button to start. Maybe that will do.

I followed the NFO file. I mounted the .mds file (with Alcohol 120), installed the game using Applocale (to C:\Biko3). Then I patched the file with the the included uncensor patch. Afterwards, when I ran the NewBiko3.exe with Applocale the game starts a little music sounds and the game freezes. Does anyone have any I ideas. I appreciate all the time and effort to this webpage, it is truely amazing.

why would you want to run it in japanese mode after you've changed it to english?

As has been several times already in this topic (if you'd bothered to read it through properly) after you've patched it you dont need applocale to eun it.

Unfortunatly, I have tried it without Applocale as well prior to posting on the website. I have tried both the patch included and I dled from the hongfire website (different file sizes). Both resulted in the same problem, the game freezing after two seconds of music. The regional settings are on Japan. I haven't had any problem with Rapelay. Anyway, sorry for the incovience. Thank you for a truely awesome webpage.

First off thanks to DeathMarine for all the games.

I finally got the game to run after many problems. After you've tried everything in this thread and if you still cant get it to run, try this:

Uninstall everything and do a fresh install. Do NOT run any of the patches or translations. Do not change your regional setting, leave them to English. You may however copy over the save games supplied by DeathMarine. Finally run Applocale and load up the game. Make sure the iso is mounted with Daemon.

The above worked for me after all else failed.

Hi guys. I just downloaded this game and all is going well until I also have the same problem with the Windows Error saying that Biko 3 has encountered a problem and needs to shut down. We are sorry for the inconvenience... or something like that.

I have tried the following:

1. Reinstalling (Obviously)
2. Installing without applocale
3. Installing with applocale and choosing English
4. Installing with applocale and choosing Japanese
5. Running the game through NewBiko3.exe
6. RUnning the game through the Japanese Biko3.exe
7. Running the game through applocale choosing NewBiko3.exe, choosing Japanese
8. Running the game through applocale choosing NewBiko3.exe, choosing English
9. Running the game through applocale choosing the Japanese Biko3.exe, choosing Japanese
10. Running the game through applocale choosing the Japanese Biko3.exe, choosing English
11. Running the game without the Fix.exe and the Patch
12. Running the game with the Fix.exe and the Patch

Plus, before I try each method, I reinstalled the game and made a new start. I still get same message.

The patch at Hongfire is the same as the one I got from here.

Someone there said somethin about "I must have nabbed the DVD torrent instead of the CD since the NO-CD only works for the CD version", or something like that.

I don't know what else to try. Someone please help me.

It's because you have the DVD version and are trying to run it with the nocd patch. Reinstall but don't install the patch.

I've done as the NFO file instructed. But I get a windows encountered an error warning.
I think my directory I installed it may be wrong.
does it matter if its in C:\Program Files\illusion\Biko3 or does it have to be C:\Biko3

I have to try that, installed so many of the games, and this is the first one that has givin me probs, wonder if a no dvd patch exist, I'll look for one if not installing the patch works for me

This game is similar to ReapeLay, in that there is no strictly winning the game. You just play through.

I have installed the language packs and set Japanese as my default, non-unicode language. Doesn't seem to matter whether I just run the NewBiko3.exe by itself or through AppLocale with either English or Japanese, I still get the same results.

i was able to run the game without installing the english patch. so then i tried to run the fix and the enlish patch and it says "unknown version" of one of the bk#_##.pp files. reinstalled. same thing hapens.


edit: seems like it's allways one of the .pp files that the Biko3fix.exe changes.. i'mma try reinstalling and running the patch without running the fix
OK, reinstalled, still getting unknown version errors durring the english patcher. Tried a few other's i found on other sites and same problem so i'm jsut gunna say "oh well".

I am having trouble with this game.
I install it via the instructions, minus the allocate or what ever....
But when i select a girl...it goes to the starting screen (like the book for the first girl) and just sits there....i cant do anything.....
any ideas?

It comes up when i click ControlPadSetting, DisplaySetting and StartGame, then the game starts up with blackness and goes back to desktop with NewBiko3.exe causing a fatal error.

Maybe if i knew what the message box is saying, i could make the game work :S

Hello, I just downloaded it installed it and it ran well. But in the game, there was no text at all. The textboxes were all empty. Is it meant to be? Or did I do something wrong?

I can't seem to change the display setting. If i can't i can't play the game.. My graphic card doesn't support 600x400 full screen... can someone kindly help me solved the problem?

reinstall the whole thing, and the patch put C:/.../biko3 (must end with biko 3 and nth else)
